Agroturismo Hotel Menorca Experimental in Balearic Islands is a renovated 19th-Century Finca located near Sant Llorenc, designed in the spirit of an artist’s vacation cottage. Surrounded by pine groves, fragrant juniper shrubs and wildflowers, the whitewashed compound has been carefully restored by a team of local craftsmen under the guidance of interior designer Dorothee Meilichzon.
In keeping with stylish simplicity of the main building, comfortable rooms are streamlined in design. Full of private corners, unique views and convivial shared spaces, the hotel encourages festivity as well as reflexion, serenity and inspiration. Airy, open spaces use rustic drystone, waxed concrete and rough-hewn local wood plank floors with accents of hand glazed terra cotta tile. Also the rooms are styled with textiles and ceramics by Marrakech-based design studio LRNCE and wall lighting design by Lea Munsch. All photographs by Karel Balas.
