Rumah Fajar which means The House of Dawn was transformed from a Traditional Balinese Longhouse (Bale Agung) to a Luxury Boutique Villa by designer Maximilian Jencquel of Bali-based Studio Jencquel. 4-bedroom house blends into its wild natural setting along the hillside due to the combination of two dominant materials — a Balinese terracotta brick and charred ironwood. In creating the main frame of the house, a steel structure was designed to saddle the timber roof structure. The overall design is meant to be open with ample air flow through cross-ventilation.
